Go’s shopaholic Whitney McNamara stopped by Abdoun’s trendiest new boutique, Pinkdust, to bring you the latest in funky women’s wear.

From first glance, Pinkdust might appear to be your runof-the-mill boutique: a feminine interior with simple, white walls and whitewashed, antique picture frames, and chandeliers. However, it only takes seconds spent flipping through the racks of clothing to get any fashion-conscious girl excited. Opened only a couple of months ago, Pinkdust has already created buzz around West Amman for carrying a unique style of clothing.

Originally, many of the designers were Lebanese but as word of mouth spread about the new store, Jordanian designers have lined up to display their works and now make up a good portion of the designers the boutique uses. Pinkdust is the epitome of eclectic, with different styles to fit any girl’s wardrobe: funky, classic, rock, modern, hippy chic, and outrageous.

For the feminine girly-girl, there are simple black dresses with fun details such as oversized bows and unique collars, as well as Chanel-esque quilted cream leather bags. For the girl who loves to channel the 60s, Pinkdust has a suitcase, literally, of fun accessories like handbags decorated with old newspaper, peace signs, and smiley faces, as well as overstated earrings with emblems of the decade. Even for the fearless, fashion forward, you will find no shortage of funky, original pieces! Think tops that have chunky shoulder pads adorned with spikes, studs, and jewels; pieces that even Lady Gaga would lust after. While for the more classic dresser,

Pinkdust has simple, well structured pieces like a fitted, short sleeved jacket that would be appropriate for work or paired with some dark-washed jeans for a night out. Whatever your style, there’s definitely a piece (or 15) waiting for you right now at Pinkdust.
